Leather feels soooo much better. It is slicker, for lack of a better term, it is much easier to move around on leather to find a different position. With decent care lather should last forever.
Leather is good stuff, but as for moving around on better, I've never heard of a motocross, desert racer or other off-road racer that had a leather seat, and their riding requires a LOT of moving around. If leather held an advantage in that area, the National pros would have it.
Nowadays, I have to almost scratch and sniff to tell if it's leather or Pleather or whatever. I do much prefer the look of worn weathered leather to worn and cracked vinyl, but I don't base my decisions on which seat I buy on leather alone. They both have their own advantages.
I would suggest the leather one, BUT,you you suffer from flatulence problems definitely go for the vinyl one as leather breathes and tends to absorb odors.
