Default '07 Active Exhaust valve

Just wondering who has disconnected their "valve", how you did it, thoughts before and afterwards. What mapping changes if any made after the fact. General opinions of the whole set up?
I have disabled mine from the rotating wheel in front of the battery box, left everything in place so it still looks connected. Am waiting for my SERT to arrive so the relevant map adjustments can be made. With a set of outercycle mufflers and disabled active exhaust the bike sounds 100% better and louder. Am getting some popping but SERT will fix that soon.

Here in Australia we have the international model with the valve which USA don't have so you won't get much in the way of replys to you question.
If you have disconnected the controller make sure the valve is in the open position and the black box is still able to function or you may get a fault code.
Check for a lean burn as you may need to back to your original exhaust while waiting for your SERT.

Fair enough! thanx RT. I actually had it done by the dealer. Valve is def in open position and box is still functioning as normal with no fault codes. I think ya thoughts on a lean burn could be right, causing the popping on decel. SERT will waiting for me when I get home tomorrow. Just gotta go buy a bloody laptop first.

Mandurah. WA's version of the Gold Coast without the high risers. One hour south of Perth on the coast.
