Default Camping and Riding St. Louis, Cape Girardeau?

Trying to roll together a trip to do a few days toward the end of the month in eastern Missouri. Anyone have any recommendations for camping or good rides between St. Louis and Cape Girardeau? Lots of info online, but I know the flooding has closed some sites. Thanks for any tips.

Born there. Its all good rides and crazy beautiful. Plenty of gas stations but little cell coverage out in the boonies. Bring a good map that shows county roads and let's you know it they're paved or not. Camping is a non issue. Zillions of places to camp, improved and not. Area along rivers are mostly fair game as no one claims it as it is not buildable due to flooding. Pete

Thanks for the tips. Most likely we'll just go with the flow and stay where it looks good. "Crazy beautiful" from a guy who lives on the front range must mean its pretty damn good. Riding here in CO is as good as any I have heard of, but I haven't been along the Mississippi for a few years.

The area off highway 67 from 55 is really nice. Surdyke Harley is really close to 55 off 67 and its a nice dealership to checkout.

If you ride down 67 there are plenty of parks and places to camp and float.

The twisties that we hit the hills for here cover the complete state there. Add in a river aroung every corner and it is perfect for riding. Stay south of 70 for all the real good stuff.
