A customer of mine about 2 years back came in with 9k something miles for new tires. After inspection I noticed his pads were due for replacement. He said he never changed his pads or tires. Front tire was cupped really bad and the rear was bald showing only a ghost line of the original rain grooves. Depends on how hard you brake when riding. They were thin as a sheet of paper! Installed new pads and his rotors were none the wiser!

Its depends on the rider.... I just replaced mine at 18k, I probably could have gone another tire change, but since I had the wheel off I did them anyway... I have a friend who's a rear brake rider, he's lucky to get 10k out of his...

I don't break hard and likely use more front brake than rear. Only reason why, is easier to access Now for the $64,000.00 question, stick with OEM or aftermarket??? Then, what seems to be the most used brand?

depends...Riders who take their bikes to the dealer for brake work propably get oem pads. A good portion of riders of all styles of bikes use EBC HH sintered pads. They do stop a bike better with a stronger initial bite and a more linear feel than oem's...

i'm at 7.5k miles, about 5500 miles are mine since i bought it. both still have pad left but my rears aren't slowing the bike down a whole lot, so i'll be changing them soon.

i rarely use the fronts as i hate the front end dive.

The OEM suck and you have to use a lot of foot, if ya know what I mean, never did like the brakes on mine. Graded on a scale of 1-10, 10 being excellent, I give OEM, a 4!! Thanks for the tip on the EBC HH sintered pads.

I've noticed it's a little difficult finding an application chart fitment guide for the EBC Brakes, any ideas? I have an 08 FXDL, I believe I saw something that might fit, FA400HH for front and rear, sound correct??
