Help with plastic bag
So I get home from a long ride today and park the bike, smells kinda funny but I figure it's probably because it 100 degrees out. I go inside to cool off and have a few beers. Hours later I go out to look at the bike and that empty bag of ice I had ran over was melted to my exhaust. What's the best way to get it off without hurting the chrome?

Well I started to take off the plastic bag. The whole bag was attached to the bottom of the bike. I took off everything I could before treating it with anything. I heated up the pipes a bit by starting it and had goof off handy so I decided to try that first. It is coming off slowly. Worked on it for an hour and got everything off the sides. It is a very slow proccess and I'm trying to be patient like many of you suggested. The only plastic left is on the very bottom of the pipes so I will probably just ride it and get it really hot then try and remove the rest. There is so little left I'm really not that concerned. Thanks to all for your suggestions. I didn't want to try the steel wool as the bike is brand new and was going to use the oven cleaner as last resort as I would have probably got some on the paint, I would have been devestated....I'ld say there is less then 5% still left to get off.
I'm always leary about infomercial type videos. First off all he put bacon on the pipes which would have left enough grease for the plastic not to stick as bad and also the bike was hot...Mine had already cooled off after it was baked on.

I have read many articles on this issue and many of them say to spray easyoff oven cleaner (the old style) on a hot pipe and the wipe it off just like you would do with an oven with a very wet terry cloth towel, not nylon micro towel, that will just make matters worse, don't ask me how I know.
