I have 2.25 without a remap. The newer dynas have a closed loop EFI and will adjust out to pipes and even A/C. (I know a lot will disagree) but the bike does come lean, and that issue has to be addressed even if you keep it stock. Gotta love the EPA
I really like the Rush slip-on mufflers with 2" baffles on my bike, though I'm about halfway through making my 2-1 exhaust with the stock head-pipe. I'm going into a single 3-1/2" pipe with a 2-1/2" Rush baffle. I hope it sounds as good as these do.
the 11 Fat bob is pretty much the same bike from tank back as my 11 wide glide. From what I've researched, as long as you don't go above 2inch baffles, no need for fuel remapping. I haven't been able to put a ton of miles on mine since putting on the new pipes but I haven't had any issues or loss of torque or popping or anything. its been perfect. got them on ebay for 245 + 15 ship. better than any other sites I found.
Got a link for the ebay site? that is a great price if new. Were they new or used?
they got a couple left. scoop 'em while you can. And I finally got to take my bike out today, about 50 or so miles. LOVE how it sounds when I'm downshifting and blip the throttle. even in 6th at 60mph it sounds good.. i can finally hear it. Harley needs to start making their bikes sound like this from the factory.
I got out last night too for a bit and have to admit that since going from my LowRider for 10 years and having the tach and being able to hear the engine, I am having a hard time getting used to the shift points with the 6 speed. :-)
