Default Chrome fork lowers, any one regret doing it?

Really thinking about getting the chrome lowers soon.

Any issues with chrome fork lowers?

Durability etc...
Thanks,

Tom

You can save some money by polishing them, not as good as chrome but it can be fixed whenever you have a scratch or rock chip.

Until I changed my front end I had chrome lowers. They looked about as good the day I took them off as they did many years earlier when I put them on.

I have a Street Glide, and just did mine a couple weeks ago. Love it, looks much better.

The stock lowers start to look bad after a couple years. I've had the chrome lowers for four years now, and they still look new.

Default Lowers

I had dissimilar metals corrosion going on between the caps and the lower legs, so it was a no brainer for me so NO.

Nope, its one of those items on my must have list for my new Super Glide.
I love chrome front lowers but beauty still is in the eye of the beholder. My 2000 Deuce has chrome forks. I traded it in a few weeks ago for the 2011 Dyna but after 11 years the entire chrome front end still looked great. Only a few small chips.
I noticed that I have some oil leaking from the seals already. Maybe I can have that covered under warranty and have chrome lowers put back on instead. I never had this amount of accumulation of fork oil on my 2000 softail.
