My bike has been running great, but when I decide to push it the engine makes some noise. Once I hit 3000 rpm and pushing it sounds like a bunch of pebbles are bouncing around in the engine. It is coming from the left side. Any ideas what is going on or has anyone else ever had this happen?
Check the rubber snubber for the jiffy stand and make sure it hasnt twisted around on the frame. Its capable of making all sorts of ugly noises from that side of the motor
If you're using the right kind of gas I also think it's your driving style. Use a lower gear, don't give it a lot of throttle when you're at low rpm's. Don't be afraid to use that motor, you can't kill it because it's got a rev limiter.
I had a problem with the "gravel sound about 24-2800 rpm. I quit using 20W50 in the primary, went to Formula + and it went away. I guess it could be coincidence.
