I'm on my 4th oil change and only been using Amsoil. I guess I'll have to let you know when I hit some high mileage if it works out.

I do know when I replaced the tranny oil with the Amsoil SVT it shifts better with less clunk.

No question, Amsoil in all three holes, you won't be sorry, why not change it yourself?
it's easy and way cheaper

Both are good oils for your bike. Don't use motor oil in the gearbox.

I went to the dealer for the first 1000 mile service and the only dealer service other than warranty work thanks for the advise and no motor oil in the gear box amazing that was even mentioned but I guess that's why some people are doctors and lawyers (please dont take offense to that comment on second thought I don't care) and some are able to change their own oil

Amsoil all the way. the only reason to use syn 3 is to let your rings get a good seat in the motor. Im going to use Amsoil once I do my second service too. Had great luck with it over the years. I wont use anything else in my motor. Red line makes a great gear oil for your transmission. Amsoil make a great gear oil for the transmission too.
