My V&H have the stock baffles while being a little disturbing to the neighbors, I don't really care that much. Not being mean and rude, just truthful. It's not as if you rip in and out of your drive way all day long disturbing the peace. If you're like me, you're in then out.

I have V&H Straight Shots on My sportster and dont be fooled by the term " quiet baffles ". IMHO it gives them a depper throaty tone yet its just as load to me. I really want the V&H Short Shots Staggered on My Bob but Im afraid about re-map etc. Maxdoubt have you pulled your plugs to see if they are lean etc? Ive been told you really dont need a sert/ PC III if you just add pipes but Im afraid it will f)()) something up !

Hi Forrest,
If you get up to stadium in Chingford, N.E london, ask for their street bob demonstrator, it's fiited with v&h straightshot slipones, sounds good nice, deep rumble not to loud (although your neighbours may disagree) Interestingly no other mods (no fueler ,download ,etc...)and it seems to run fine.
I've taken it out twice now and it's very nice.
I am very tempted to part ex mine for the 07 but cant justifie the loss of money.
so untill I win the lottery I'll just have to suffer my 06.
Good luck, and enjoy
Nige

hi forrest
my buddy has the v&H slip-ons on his 06 fxdi35. there were definetly too loud for my likeing as they would have caused grief with my neighbours.
i tried some other pipes, same problem, but ended up gettin the v&h for my Street Bob but with the quite baffles as others have already mentioned.
still loud enough to enjoy but not too loud. the quite baffles definetly lowered the tone enough for me to get away with it.

I've been curious about the quiet baffles, also... does anyone know if they have to be installed with the mufflers, or can you go back and add them later? Or if you do put them in on installation, can you go and take them out later?

Hi, you can add them later if you choose, I'm asking as I will inport them from the US at the same time as the slip on's and save money on the shipping, as they are cheaper on your side of the water by quite a lot.

Hi Nige thanks for the info, but cant say I get to your HD dealer very often, I have heard a rumour that DockGate 20 in Southampton have a Bob with V&H slipons, I will explore. don't see many Brits on here, but who cares!
