Default Rain sock: Anyone ever use the thing?

Just installed the SE Ventilator AC. Is the "rain sock" useful?

If you ever ride when it is rainy and do not have that sock on, standby for the crappiest running motorcycle you have ever seen. Run the sock all the time in my opinion!

Yes, I just leave mine on. Helped me once or twice when I was caught in the rain. Plus seems to keep the filter cleaner.

I stop and put it on if it's raining hard. Otherwise, it's in the saddlebag.

Wonder if Fuel Moto sells them? I know they sell the big sucker as well as SE. I need to pick one up as well for the SE A/C I got from Fuel Moto.

+1

Trying to make the bike run a little richer, so the sock stays on.

If anyone needs one for the SE I have one brand new in the Harley Packaging. I bought it, but now moved to Arizona and really have no need for it. Package has never been opened and I bought it from the local HD dealer. I can get the part number if needed.

I just got mine from outerwears today, there's one on the website that says, bug sucker stage one, i think I might have ordered the wrong one by accident or id give you the p/n.

Paperwork ended up saying fits screamin eagle taper, kind of hard to get on, hopefully gets easier after a few times

I just rode home today in the rain as a matter of fact and the rain sock works great for open filters. I have the HD one for round filters. $12 I think at HD!!
