Default FNG. School me on Drag Bars

Folks,

FNG here, running a 11 FXDC. The bars absolutely must go. that said:

1) what brand is good/reasonably priced?
2) whats the scoop on pull back? will a "broomstick" tweak the wrists?
3) are there clearance issues with the stock clamp/riser? blinkers relocated? dont want to limit turn radius.
4) assume in need to mod the bar or buy a TBW factory moded bar

in short.. i want to be bent over, slammed, and cramped up. will have highway pegs too.

Thx for the help ya'll

EDiT:

5) what width is commonly used for an avg 5'10" male.. dont want super wide nor super narrow
6) Black would be nice
7) dont care if its a 1" bar.. not willing to drop much extra coin on a 1-1/4

Based on your "I want to be bent over, slammed, and cramped up" why not get yourself a set of "clip-ons".

One forum member that I know of (can't remember their name) did this.

CruiserCustomizing.com has good bars and risers for the money. Their Biker's Choice BC-48-2478 5.5" H pullback risers and KW-300925 27-3/8" W standard drag bars cleared my unlifted tank. When I went with a 2" tank lift I needed at least 6" risers.

Don't do broomsticks, i had those on my last ride, took them off within a week. not on the bike, they feel like they would be really comfortable, but when you are actually riding, it is not a normal position and your wrists feel like they are tweaked the wrong way. I was miserable and it was expensive to change back. I deceided to go with the night trains stock handlebars which are pretty short. Those were extremely comfortable and i loved them. A slight bend makes all the difference.

IMO drag bars are just back breakers! I've been riding my night train with the stock drag bars for 5 years because I loved the look of them. Just ordered 14 inch Wild 1's chubby outlawz to change the comfort hopefully! Drag bars do look nice imo they are just back breakers.

I too hated my factory bars. I started with a set of 32" drags with stock 1.5" risers. After that I went with 6.5" risers and found it comfortable enough, but wanted higher. So I found a set of 28" drag bars and 10" risers with 1" pull back. This is by far the best and most comfortable configuration to far. The bars are narrow enough for lane splitting( I don't do it alot), but they are not too narrow to make the ride squirrelly and unpredictable. The riser is great, I can ride aggressive when I want yo or just lean back. Hope this helps in you search.

I've been riding my 10 FXDC with 4 1/2" risers, broom stick bars and a 2" tank lift. Nothing hits the tank. At first the bars felt like I was tweeking my hands, but that subsided as I got more used to them. The ride is comfortable now.

These are the T-Bars I have on my bike, found them and a lot of others on ebay for under 100 bucks.
