Wow, I'm glad I started this thread...good information so far. I created a similar thread on the F-150 forum and it's going into over a year of constant updates but with a lot more issues.

My analysis of the posts leads to mostly issues with dealers and some things that happen naturally but a lot of bikes getting into the higher mileage ranges with minimal issues!

Keep riding safe!!

About 16,800 and no serious issues to date. I replaced the IPB and stator/rotor before either went out as preventative maintenance. I had some surging but that was due to a loose throttle position sensor plug but has not been an issue since I reseated the plug. It sat for a year while I was stationed in Korea and ran perfect when I got back. It's sitting now while I'm deployed and I don't anticipate and issue when I get home.

06 FXDBi

@ 23K miles, Bought it in September 2010
with a busted stator/rotor - replaced with welded upgrade

@ 27K miles last month I had transmission trouble related to the 06 recall - slipping out of gear in second and only second gear - the recall kit, a new 2nd countershaft gear, shift fork, and dog ring fixed that

somewhere along the line the front bracket on the upper belt guard also broke - I'm running saddlebags so I figured I don't really need it for now anyway

gosh I hope that inner primary bearing has already been done . . . . .

I enjoy reading about how much you guys ride and finding out what kind of issues riders have had, both small and large. Mainly I like to see how much riding you all do.

To give you all an idea of who likes to ride there bike verus who likes to look at there bike, here are some numbers so far from the info provided (06' bikes only in the thread so far).

So far there are 21 06' riders that have put on a total of 460624 miles on all their bikes. This is an average of 21934 miles per rider over 5 years. 4386.9 per rider per year or 12 miles a day, thats only 1 tank a gas every two weeks, REALLY!!!!

I am impressed by the amount of riding some of you do and hope that some of you will take these numbers as motivation to go out and catch up with some of these miles, your really missing out on what is out there to be seen!

Like tha saying goes................LIVE TO RIDE, RIDE TO LIVE
