LED on 5 3/4 bullet
Thanks to all for showing their LED lights. I received mine last night. Was relieved its was the part number ending in "A" as I forgot to check when I ordered it. I live in the Philippines so cost is a lot more due to shipping and duties, but the light is worth it given the bad riding conditions here at night. Jeepneys/trikes/small bikes/and most cars all ride without lights.
Here is pics of light install. Pretty simple, but the LED must be slightly larger as it left a small gap between the outside trim and housing. No big deal as the inside locking trim keeps out moisture. I am not sure which bullet housing I have, but the only tools needed was the smallest allen wrench and a philips head screwdriver or something to help turn the inside ring to unscrew. It has little dimples so am sure there is some tool for it. But it came out with some persuasion. Make sure to clean the threads so next time it will be easier.
pic 1 - led vs regular bulb.
2 - unscrew the outside trim. held in by 2 small allen screws.
3 - unscrew inner ring with philipps
4 - unplug the old bulb (H4).
5 - clean up the threads and plug the new LED.
The LED puts out a lot more light in a wider beam but seems to be more narrow band. Its hard to tell as I did this in my parking garage.
