Name the budget first. The aftermarket is HUGE!

Cheap: Jafrum and Leatherup

Med: Willie and Max, Leatherneck Jims

High End: Boss Bag And Iron Bags.

Tons more than that as well.

First, plan on moving your turn signals back, no biggie, but you will need to for any decent sized bags. I bought my laydown license plate/signal relocator from Great Bike Gear, but they were made by Easy Brackets.

Then look at slant bags, they will give you the most room with clearance for the shocks.

Then definitely consider the Easy Brackets saddlebag mounting system. I can't begin to count the number of times I needed to remove my bags for one reason or another, sometimes several times a day. Being able to take them off in a few seconds has really made a difference in overall convenience.

My bags, though I forget where they came from, measure 6"W x 16"L x 11"H. They perfectly match my Mustang seat and are as small as I would ever go. I can barely squeeze in a 1 gallon (actually .87 gal) Reda gas can, due to the width and height, for those unexpected distances between gas stations. I said they were 16" long, but being at a slant, the overall horizontal measurement is more like 19". I don't remember how the measurements were listed.

I searched through hundreds of saddlebags on google before I saw the one's I bought. They just looked right to me and I've been happy with them. They're not real leather, but have a great leather look and very solid foundation on all sides with a very stiff back for mounting to the brackets.
