I put an 80 spoke wheel on my 04 low rider going from the stock 19" to 21". After no problems with the wheel mounting, when installing the caliper, it hit the spokes and wouldn't turn. I removed the caliper, used my rotozip sanding disc and removed metal from back of caliper until it didn't hit then did a nice job of painting the back of the caliper with textured paint. Looks and works great now.
However.....
Does anyone know...... "If".... I decided to put a chrome caliper on the front, will an after market chrome caliper have less meat on the back towards the spokes so no needing to grind it like I had to on the factory caliper?
