Default Handlebar swap...to splice or not to splice

I'm planning to swap bars on my street bob to 17" apes and I'm wondering whether it is a better idea to cut and sauter the wires or to use a wire extension kit. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

The wire extension kit is way better as you don't end up with a mass of connections to tape and hide, its way neater and a hell of a lot quicker to do.

Spliced mine. No real issues other than took a little longer. I;m sure the extension kit would be easier. But, then again nothing i do is easy!

I spliced mine , and use heat shrink not tape. there is no issues "hiding" it if you run internal
