Time for new tires, and I like the Night Dragons; but I was wondering if anyone has tried the 200mm rear on a new Wide Glide.
It seems their 180mm is narrower than the stock Dunlop, so I was curious if the 200mm might end up about the same width and still fit the rim properly.
Not many options out there for the 17x4.5" wheel we're running.

Ill chime in. Just posted some info about this in another thread.
Yes my Night Dragon 180 looks considerably thinner than the stock Dunlop did. So honestly would a 200 "FIT"....Yes it would. Would i recommend it?
No....
200's are still 200s and the specs still call for the 5" wheel..... To me its just not worth the problems that could happen. I do a lot of traveling of 400+ mile days of interstate. Last thing i need is that kind of tire problem.
What i would like to see more of and find the ins and outs of is if the Crossbones rear rim (5") is truly perfectly compatible simple replacement to the Wide Glide so i could properly fit the 200.....

200 tire requires at least a 5" rim. There will be those here who have done it and will say it's fine, but it's not within the recommended specs of the tire and it's not worth the risk IMO. You can fit a 5.5" rim to your stock hub and do it that way if you really want the 200 tire.
I didn't find any info stating which wheel width it was for.
What size is the Night Train rear wheel? 17 x ?
I'm fine using the ND 180, but if the 200 would work it'd be nice to keep the width.
Also, it's $20-$30 cheaper for the 200mm for some reason.
