Rocker boxes, upper&lower
Pushrod tubes
Lifter block bases..
Im stuck between wrinkle black or gloss black?????

Just had the trees done, along with all the hadware for the fairing done in gloss black. The bike is denim black but im thinkin bout changing to vivid black....... Thoughts on the rockers and push rod stuff?

Gloss and keep the denim. Good contrast.

I'm big on contrast. Rather than those two choices, talk to your powder coater and see what other shades of black they have. With my Sportster, the tins were gloss black (with flames) and the cam/gear/primary covers were a wrinkle black look. To contrast some with those, I went with a semi-gloss black for the wheels. Having the different finishes of black still gave the bike a "blacked out" look but still offered a considerable amount of contrast.

In this picture you can see what I mean. Look at the high gloss look of the black fender, the mid-gloss look of the rear wheel (especially just below the rear exhaust), and the rough flat look of the cam cover.

Yep, I'm with DSnoopy. To each his own, but I'm not a fan of the wrinkle black other than for the bottom end of the motor and trans. I think gloss or satin (or a mix of the two) would provide a good contrast and look cleaner as well.

The tins need to be painted, the kook that i bought the bike from used a CHEAP pillion and the staples destroyed the paint, he ran without the front fender and he didnt wrap it up before he stored it. Couple decent scratches on the front of the tank too...

I had a bunch of parts powdercoated gloss black by Joe the PowderPro and they look amazing. I'm not a fan of the wrinkle black, but it's a mater of taste. On your bike with the denim black, I think the contrast of the gloss black parts would look real good.

I have alot of gloss black contrast against my denim paint and the wrinkle motor. If you want close up examples let me know.
