Default Cables and apes?

I plan on putting apes on my 03 superglide... I'm 5'9 on a good day.. Lol.. I plan on running either 12 or 14" apes from br customs... My question is this of you that have ran apes of this height... Could any of u provide me with the sizes of cables and brakes that you had to purchase... I'm looking at barnetts... But if someone has a suggestion of better cables I'm
all ears... Thank you for your help

+6" for 12" apes. They should be long enough for 14"'s as well. I like Magnum cables.

Couldn't have said it better. Thats what I'm running with my 12's. Plenty of slack for 14's as well.

I have 14" and went +6 with magnum cables... I forget the brake line length, but I used some clear 3/8 tubing to measure it..

if it was me , I would mount the bars then measure , but I'm picky about how stuff looks ( I don't like to much slop or pulled tight )

Exactly what I did. Just got my setup all together and I'm glad I waited until I had the bars on. I didn't want any excess and the cable lengths were NOT what I would have guessed based on just the difference I changed in the rise height.

By the way, It took 10 weeks to get my bars from BR. Quality is top notch but the wait was hell. Also I ordered cables and brake lines from Magnum Shielding. They were excellent!
