fender

Yea, that's what I was thinkin'.
If the old school fender would mount up to the current location on the stock sliders then a fabbed bracket could also mount to the same location.
The bracket would extend down tword the axial, behind the slider (lower fork tube) long enough to accept the os fender braces in a straight line.

Forum member AFMM3 made some adapter brackets for a Heritage fender that might be a model for what you have in mind ...
His commentary in his photo album: "Mounting a Heritage Classic fender to 49mm Dyna forks requires an adapter that is not available on the market. I made these out of 1/8 inch aluminum plates. 2 stacked for the vertical mount and 4 stacked for the horizontal mount. Welded, then ground smooth and sanded even smoother. I suppose I could keep polishing forever but I think next winter I will use these as a template for a set milled out of solid billet."
Seems like the fender you want to use could be adapted ... but, will take a little innovation on your part ....
Good luck ...

These are made to fit the older Dyna fenders to the newer 49mm forks. I couldn't use them because I was using a Softail fender.

At first blush your photo appeared to be a late-1950's K model (Sportster) ... but, on closer inspection, it is a 2000's era Sportster cleverly disguised with the tins/fork boots/headlight of a 50's era bike, seat, oil bag, exhaust, etc. ... painted to mimic the style .... Fooled me at first ... nice work with it ....
A similar fender was used on early Super Glides FX models from 1973 to late-1980's ... the one in the lower right hand corner of the attached page is very similar (struts are a little different) ....
Another one from the Drag Specialties "Old Book" ....
