Have never heard about rising the tank, but when I compare the two pictures above, the raised tank really enhances the look of the cylinders, by giving them full space above - very easy on the eyes. Cheers, Kevin.

My lite was on saying lo so i stopped in for some fuel. Only took 3.2 gallons. WHich means i had at least another 40 miles before empty.

The fuel indicator countdown shows lo when it hits the phantom EFI "reserve". At that point you should have about a gallon left.

My Low Fuel Light comes on sooner, sometimes at 1/4 tank. I have taken the gauge down close to the last mark on the gauge, filled up and still had about a gallon left, according to the pump...

the gauge is conected to a float in the gastank... the float arm could be bent to compensate for the tank lift....personally i dont worry about it, i just fill up at around 150 miles...
