anyone know if a Harley Bobtail Rear Fender will fit a Dyna?

HD part # 59914-03 DH

I know it fits softails 2000-2005. I need to know if it'll fit an '06 dyna wide glide.

 

If it doesn't, you got an electric drill right?

 

of course! the only diff would be the holes?

 

and maybe the width for the tire? You can always bolt it up and pull it to each side strap if they're wider?:-)

 

The 06 and later Dyna fender struts are almost 9 inches wide. The Softail fender is probably only about 7 1/2 ? You might be able to stuff a Fat Bob fender in there. I got a 2010 RoadKing fender in between my struts.

Find a Fat Bob Fender and stick it in there, I used an 09 FB Fender on my 07 Super Glide.

 

I do know that the '07 Dyna FXD has a 8.25" wide rear fender.

I just bought a Jesse James 8.5" wide roller rear fender, but had to narrow it and re-radius it to fit. If you can find one that fits between the struts, you are way ahead. I just wanted one with a smooth rounded contour instead of the the stock stepped contour of the Dyna.

Buying stock fenders just lists the direct replacements, even if a simple hole can be drilled or one of them not used. Too often they will fit without any mods whatsoever. Just be aware that softails and Dynas are two different bikes, so on and so forth.

You are best off to use some of the tried and used fenders as posted here. A drill, too often, isn't enough to make them fit right.
