I too have a fork bag and Memphis lowers, but with the H-D touring shield on my '10 FXDC.

I wear a half-helmet and can cruise at 80+ MPH all day long in comfort.

Thanks fellas, I appreciate all the feedback. Thus far I've concluded that most members suggest either going short-short or wide and tall. I'm considering getting the Memphis lowers because I love the height of the shield, but need to fix the buffering at higher speeds. I don't prefer the idea of looking through the shield while riding, thus I avoid all 18"+ shields. I'll keep everyone posted if I come up with something worth mentioning.

I should have given the lowers a try before I got rid of my compact shield. From what I can tell from my experience with them so far, they probably would have helped significantly.

I doubt it, I've ridden from one end of this country to the other without a windshield, what's the use of riding if you're just gonna tuck behind a windshield and not get that wind in your face effect!?!?! Maybe you'd be better off in a car?

i have the same setup as Romeo on my FXDB. The top cut is like a sports shield so looks good, the bottom part comes down far enough that with the MS lowers it keeps most of the wind from coming over the tanks, Best setup I've found so far. With the Mustang solo seat I'm good for all day.
