Bad ***!! How do you like your flush fuel LED indicator?

 

I have one of those flush led fuel gauges. LED's go out then come back on Kinda a pain in the ***. I don't know if I would buy one again

 

Hey, for anyone who was wondering what it looks like on the inside, here is Cacolades gauge just before re-assembly..

Taking these gauges apart required a lot of trial and error on take-off gauges. They hide the screws to release the face assembly from the circuit board UNDER the gauge face.. so you have to use a lot of care to peel up the face just enough to get to the screws without actually peeling the face off..

So it's the stock speedo??? Dr just swapped out the bulbs with LED's??

 

Hey there, Yeah it's the stock speedo, and there are no bulbs.. stock is LED aswell but they are amber color, they all look like those little white squares like in the picture.. I hold them with tweezers in one hand and solder them with the other

love it. installation for both the gauge and cap literally took 5 minutes and now the tank looks much sleeker.

 

AL, NICE work! But a PITA isn't it holding those tiny LEDs with tweezers??? Man that bugged the hell outta me when I did my last car. Great work and cacolade, you got one sweet A^& looking ride! Good call with the color change. Keep us posted on how you like everything riding in the day and at night.
