i hyperventilated a bit when i saw that picture, but scrolling through it doesn't look that bad, besides those pics were for installing forward controls and there are a lot more steps for that,

though if i had the money right now since i have to pull the casing off anyway i would probably just get the forward control kit and put it on

oh well i'll see what it looks like tomorrow in the light of day

It's not that bad of a job, I did it over the winter also. Same drip and all. Use your manual and do some research here on the forums (tons of info). While you have it all off change your shifter shaft seal too, its cheap and easy.
Heres a link that helped me out alot https://www.hdforums.com/forum/tri-g...ge-begins.html
Good luck.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I had my rear wheel off when I did mine, so when I took it all apart I removed the belt and hung it on the wall. Then I got it all back together except for one thing. The belt was still hanging on the wall. I was so pissed. So I took it all apart again and put it back together in about 30 minutes. Second time around was pretty easy by then.

cool! i'll have to call the parts dept. and find out how much the seals and gasket kits are, as i said i am unemployed so i might have to rob my sons piggy bank or ride it for a while with a little drip,
thats one GOOD thing about having the black engine casing if you have a little drip, it doesn't ugly up your ride
