Did you have to change cables or anything? I got the 07 denim black and I am going either 14" or 16" so I was wondering if I am going to need to buy cables too.

 

You'll be good with 15", but 16" might be pushing it. I have 15's and I had to move the clutch cable to the right down tube, take the 90° bend out of the throttle cable and re-route the brake line till I was happy. I haven't had any issues and everything works great and it's all stock cables.

 

I would just for piece of mind. Like jaronb said you could get away with but that is a lot of pull on the brake and clutch line especially in a tight turn. The actual cable harness for your switches will be fine but. Magnum shielding makes good throttle, cluth and brake lines. Plus 10 for 16 inch apes is what you should need if you go that route.

Best way to find a set of apes you like is just ask around. I personally got mine from carlinidesign.com they are not cheap but I think they are worth it. Jpcycles and drag specialties have them aswell. There are so many people that make handle bars and other parts it can get nuts. Try running a search on YouTube and google with the size apes you want.
