How dependable is your Harley?

I have four Harley's ( one of each family) and a Buell Ulysses. I have ridden them to Alaska, Key West and every state west of the Mississippi. I have yet to have a single failure of a part after about 50K of use between them.
I trusted them in the middle of British Columbia were there was no one. I trusted them in Death Valley to go the about 200 miles through it. They have gotten me home on 18 major trips so far.
I have worn out tires though and used many qts. of oil and a number of oil filters. Damn things keep needing services. I did the 10K on the 10 Ultra and 12 days later I did the 15K.

Hello All... I've been riding an'06 Superglide for 114,000 miles. A couple repaires (Primary and, Trans) bearings that showed inpending failures...other than that, No problems. But....if I had to do it over again, those miles would've been on a Road King Classic. Still might get one but, I'm keepin' the Superglide. Just remember, Chrome won't get ya home.

I've got the same problem with my back too (L3-S1) and my doctor looks at me weird when I tell him that riding my harley actually makes my back feel better. Must be all that vibration.

Wolvie give horse back riding a try. I use to do riding therapy with children with spinal problems and the motion of the horse moving helps reduce pain. It really works. As for the bike it also helps, you get more benefits from using the horse.
I have back problems too a found that riding the bike helps.
