Default Replacing slip ons after 3.5 years, do I need new clamps?

Swapping out to some new slip ons. Have original clamps on. Should I get some new clamps or just use the originals from 2007?

Thanks in advance.

I've never really understood why HD say that new clamps are required. I mean, its not like I'd have thought they can go out of shape or whatever. Having said that, I always put a smear of high-temp silicone sealer on the joint because in the past I have on several occasions had leaks.

Clamps can stretch so when you tighten them make sure they get tight before they bottom out. If they come to a stop due to being too long then they are trash.

re-tighten the clamps when the pipes and clamps are HOT. Due to heat expantion you will need to do this
