Default Throttle thumb screw, do you use it much?

I have used my throttle thumb screw a few times on open road so I can lock the throttle for the "cruise". I had it to tight the other day and it took a few turns to loosen it to get the throttle to cut back.
Do you guys use your throttle thumb screw much? You got any special tricks for using it or getting the best use out of it?

I use mine all the time on my low rider. In the city a little bit, always on the highway. I'll tighten it ever so slightly in the city ( rougher road conditions ) so I don't accidentally roll on the throttle if I hit whoopdy doos. Especially on the highway, for a steadier speed. Sounds like you already found out what to tight is, you'll get the hang of it.

I used it last year on a 2,000 mile iron butt ride. It worked ok but I still had to keep adjusting the throttle all the time since I was in a group of about 6 riders.
If I had the little thumb adjuster that attaches to the star screw I'd probably use it a lot more.
