I hope you EFI guys aren't just firing the bike up & riding off w/out letting the engine warm up. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what it sounds like from a lot of the posts. EFI or carb you need to let the engine warm up a bit especially if you've built it up with forged pistons.
BTW my carb'd bike always fires up on the 1st press of the start button or at least 99.99999999999999% of the time.
