Default New addition - upper fork covers

Found some scrap leather at the Hobby Lobby for $3. Cut some pieces punched some holes and laced it up. It's suede and probably wont last a lifetime but for $3 I can make some more. Took longer to lace them up than it did to cut and punch the holes.

Good work guys. Making stuff yourself always beats catalog parts.

Great idea and looks cool.

But do you think the chrome behind there will corrode or pit when moisture gets behind there and doesn't dry decent? That would be my only concern.

Every time I see stuff like that I think "Well that's cool", but then it dawns on me that my QD windshield would never work with it.

I have the same issues with crash bars due to my oil cooler, extended forward controls and Positrack. Ditto for a few other things.

I read a while back about someone using pvc that was slit down the back so that they could remove the covers to put on their qd windshield. They said the covers would just pop right off. I believe it was JRK5892.
