Sorry I missed this question. They have always been bulit in Mexico as far as I am aware.

I can't imagine a better bike to do it to! Well, maybe a 2007 Wide Glide.

Here is mine, which I have mated to a Baker 7-Speed trans. In the Baker, the first six gear ratio's are lower while 7th ends up the same as normal Harley 6th. The trans alone is a worthy mod.
