You say now that a 1200 is enough, but thats cause ur on a 650, go dyna if you ride as much as you say...
For 10K you can score a sweet dyna!
I just paid 10 for my 2006 FXDWGI and it has 2600 miles, its like a new 06 left over.
Also, a friend of mine just got a dyna low 2005 he paid 8k, and the bike is sweet.

In a few years, I think I probably will add a used XR1200X to the line up.

I saw in another thread, some dude that ownes a bike from each family of HD bikes. He has a lot more $$$ than me.

If I had known the direction that I was going to take my Nightster with it's custom build I would have bought an XR1200 I would have saved a lot of money in the long run. I test rode my uncles '08 Fat Bob and yes it was a little more comfortable but, being that I like speed and handling I'm happy with the sportster line. With the way I ride though a full tank at minimum will last me 75 miles depending on how I've been riding. Usually it last about 120 or so before I start to look for a gas station. I'm barely 5'10 and both dynas and sportsters seem to fit me pretty well. I agree with all either test drive or try and rent one of each for a day or two just to see how you like it.

Yeah, that looks like the Toro Personal Pace model. Great model, but tiny grass pieces get into the bowl and prevent it from getting gass alot. Once I take off the bowl, clean it out and try to reset that lousy o-ring, it's fine again.

Oh. You were being facetious...

Buy a cheap car. Save up. Get the DYNA. Or like others say too just ride them both but I know I would never trade my dyna for a sporty.

I like the ride and handling on my 09 Sportster much better than my 010 Dyna SG.

Brakes better, does twisty roads better and accelerates better.

For 10k I'll sell you my Dyna. It's ready for commuting too. Factory saddle bags and luggage rack with a windshield. And it's a newer fi model.

All I can say is I just traded my 2011 sportster 1200 custom in for a 2011 street bob, after just 3 months!
