Default New Speedo/Tach/etc for my Dyna

When I bought my Dyna Super Glide last month I posted that I was amazed that HD did not include a Tach. Almost all manual trans automobiles have one but a lot of HD's don't. So I went to the dealer today and bought the Speedo/Tach replacement that fits in the old Speedo spot. It is very nice. In addition to the Tach it tells you what gear you are in which, you can't see in the pic because you have to be moving but it is just above the lighted area that is displaying 4:11 PM, has a gas gauge which is more convenient than looking over at the gas gauge on the left side of the tank that is at a bad angle. It also has changeable colors for the gauge, needles and backlight. The only downside is the speedo is smaller than the OEM and there is a sun glare at certain angles. Can't wait to ride her at night.

I have it on my Heritage and I love it. Fuel gauge seems more accurate, but that might be my imagination

NJ Wideglide.............I paid about $240 and it took like 15-30 minutes to install.
I'll show it to you in a couple weeks when I get up there to visit my sister in Manahawkin.

Its about 300.00 at the dealer and 250.00 on ebay. Two screws, cover the tank with a towel, flip the speedo console over. Pull the connector off. Pull the black retainer ring off, slide out the old speedo. Lube up the gasket install the new speedo. center it up and install the black retainer ring. Put the connector on flip over the speedo console and reinstall the secrews done. Easy as pie. Your ecu has the milage in it as well as the old speedo. I bougt a used one and did not worry about the milage. I think the new one will marry up with the ecu and the milage will show on the new unit. If I am wrong some one will tell me

I just left it on there but may replace it and the gas cap with something fancy.

Does yours have a 4 1/2" diameter speedometer? If so it probably will. Go to the HD site and see what models it fits.
