ANOTHER Helmet Thread...With a stinky twist
Ok first and foremost, i hate helmets. As soon as i cross back into a state that doesnt require one i take the damn thing off.
Second, i CANNOT and WILL NOT wear a full face. Im claustrophobic and those things drive me crazy.
So anyway to the point. Wife calls me yesterday when she gets home from work and tells me shes going to kill the cat and that i need a new helmet.
My first thoughts were she dug her claws in and ripped it up. But no, She decided to use it as her litter box and pissed in it.
So, no 3/4 helmet, no full face. What is the lightest, smallest, CHEAPEST, DOT approved Beanie helmet out there? I know Harley makes a good one but im sorry, im not shelling out 200 bucks for something that i drop on the ground at least 3 times a day. (not purposely).
Disclaimer: No animals were SEVERELY harmed or PERMANENTLY injured during the events of this story. Secondly, i cannot get rid of the cat because i gave it to my wife for company before i did my last trip to the sandbox in '05. So it has "sentimental" value........

I saw this helmet on a thread somewhere yesterday, they were talking about the same thing(the small dot helmet, not the cat deciding your helmet wasn't stinky enough)

I agree with the OP about helmets I have a 3/4 and a full face for cold weather and rain, but I hate them. I have a half helmet that is borderline legal, although I have not been stopped with it to know for sure if it is ticket-able, so I carry a rider half helmet that is DOT just in case.

If you don't ride with a helmet, you probably don't care about your head's well-being.....so what would it matter if it got cat **** on it then?
Ha ha ha....just kidding.
I don't know anything about half helmets so I can only recommend the lightest, smallest 3/4 I know.... http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=2184
Good luck with your search.

I have actually planned hundreds of miles out of my way on road trips to avoid state laws.
