Default Mid Mounts pegs for a 2nd foot rest position

Anyone with Forward controls have mid mount pegs to serve as a 2nd foot position? Just a 2nd place to put your feet for long rides?

The stock bracket seems to come up and over with an offset. Look to see if your pipes will fit a Dyna with mid controls (Superglide or something), that should confirm or deny if they will fit, hope that helps!

I did this very thing about two months ago. I got a set of factory take-offs from a 2008 Dyna and with my V&H Big Radius pipes they bolt right up. When I fold the right one all the way up they touch the pipe but no issues yet. The bike gets a little busy with foot pegs and they can get in the way when you put your foot down for a stop, I just keep them folded when not in use. They are not on yet in my pic. Mike

Forwards with heel rests and mid mounts. The result is almost like a floorboard - I can rest my boot heel on the mid mount and my boot toe on the heel rest.

I added mids to mine awhile back. It is nice to be able to change up some on a long ride. Oddley enough, having one leg at the mid position and the other on the forward is most comfortable to me.

This is my setup. I modified the mid peg by shaving the peg down to the hinge point, drilled a hole and tapped it, then installed a shift lever as a mid mount peg. The peg is big enough to hang my foot off of, while small enough no to get in my way when I pull my feet from the forwards when coming to a stop.

I just put mid pegs on mine yesterday. Bought a pair of mid mounts from ebay for about $10. My pipes are in the way of the mount location, too, but the mount is an "L" bracket that puts the peg over the pipe.

With the boards on front and the mids, I have plenty of places to put my feet.

Like SH_01FXDWG, I found that I like riding with my feet staggered. The mids also offer an alternative for my passenger (she has long legs).
