Hmmm, good stuff!
Thinking about using a clear strip of that for illuminating a frenched in license plate, maybe even frenching in some tail lights...
Got all excited about this last night, so ordered me up a new rear fender with a smooth radius all around instead of the stepped cross-section of the stock fender. I need all the width I can get to fit a recessed license plate.
I'll probably have to narrow the new fender too, as it's 8.5" wide and my Dyna's measures 8.25". It's going to be a fun project.

Not sure what your electrical issue is but I just installed the road6 side mount plate and light as well. Added a ground wire to the rear of the light and tied that in with the harness to get a good ground to the lights as the powder did not allow good ground with the axel. Love the look and now this thread just solved my turn signal problem. Thanks for sharing.
