It is my belief that the HD download only raises the rev limiter,that's it.

Its true. Since the new Delphi EFI was introduced you can do stage-1 hardware changes and the ECU will adjust for that hardware.

Of course, it will only keep the stock AFRs, which are lean. Plus you have spent $x00 on a load of shiny parts and are making little use of them other than to make noise and look pretty.

Hey man, you just bought a brand new Harley. Relax, enjoy it stock for a little bit. Take some time to figure out exactly what you want to do with it. There is plenty of time to add on goodies down the road.

Road my 07 box stock for first 1k or so, then added pipes. In 08 added a A/C, PCIII and a dyno tune, much better. This spring, added Woods 555 cams and a dyno tune....much, much better. Next either head work, 103 c.i. kit or bump the compression a tad. It is fun to do 1 change at a time and feel and see the results, or lack there of. just my .02
