V&H Straight Shop Slipons - Anybody have them?
Thinking about getting V&H Straight Shot slipons for my '06 Low Rider. Price seems right at $260.
Want something with a decent rumble and throaty sound - but not overly loud. Listened to the demo on the V&H site, but hard to tell the actual sound.
Anybody have a set?
And how quiet are the "quiet baffles"?
Thanks,
Sammi

Sorry...I can't help you with the slip-ons, but I may have some pipes you'd like.
I have the V&H Staggered Shortshots with the "quiet" baffles. I didn't like the sound with the stock baffles, but it sounds perfect with the quiet baffles. They are not quiet, but deeper in sound. It has the deep rumble instead of a more hollow sound like some baffles produce.
I paid about $250 for the pipes and another $50 for the baffles.

What pipes do you currently have on your bike. From your pic they look like SEs. I am also looking for pipes that are not to loud but have a deeper rumble and was thinking of the SEs. If that is what you have, are they to loud?

Sammi, I have the s/s slip ons. They look really good and sound great too. I bought mine from eastern performance for like $228 with free shipping. I would really like to have the short shot staggered pipes but cant afford the race tuner right now. With these pipes you dont even need to remap unless you do something different with the air cleaner. hope this helps.

First of all, I have SE II's on my Superglide and I like them. However, I bought the wife an '06 88C this summer and we put V&H Straightshot Slip Ons on that. I must say that I like them alot. Iknow, I know different bikes but the V&H sound awsome. They are louder than the SE II's with the TC88 on my bike but I wouldn't say obnoxious. (we did not use the optional "quiet" baffles) In fact I am amazed how that 883 sounds. Slip ons are good if you don't want to do any other tuning on your bike right away. (at least in most cases) Plus they keep the stock cross over....which I think is good. (again if you don't want to do other tuning)
My vote would be to go for the V&H!

I've got them. See Sig picture. Look good & Sound great.
From what I have heard on the quiet baffles, they do not really reduce the volume much, but do give it a deeper tone.
Got mine from American Classic Motors off ebay for under $200 + shipping

Sammi, American Classic Motors has the V&H straight shot slip ons on ebay quite often and they are usually $192.00, $194.00 plus shipping it comes to $220.00 or less. I bought the muflers you got from Mancuso and kind of wish I had gotten the straight shots instead, but the ones I got are better than stock.
