Default There's a stranger on my '10 Wide Glide...

Was sitting in the tax office this Tuesday (yes, had filed for an extension) and got a funny feeling with my 2010 Wide Glide parked outside. Told the lady I was gonna check to see if the rain had started, went to the door, and right away noticed a Dodge truck between me and my bike with the tops of two guys around my bike. Went out and approached them, only to see my bars move and one of the older fellows sitting on my bike. Needless to say, went ballistic as they got off my bike apologizing and wanting to shake hands. Guy claimed he thought it was for sale and said the one that quickly jumped off had one just like it.
Talking about going from mild to white hot in .2 seconds. In thinking back, I believe their intent was to steal the cycle in broad daylight with me yards away.

Take the for sale sign off of your bike..... Me thinks you are correct; they were looking to heist your bike.

If his buddy had one just like yours, he should have known enough that you don't sit on somebody's bike uninvited.

I've never caught somebody on one of my bikes, so I don't really know what I'd do, but I do know I wouldn't be happy.

One of my troops had his crotch rocket stolen in DC...right in "gated" parking lot of apartment complex in broad daylight. Apparently the "rent-a-cop" let them (thieves) in (budget truck) because they were supposedly moving someone...classic.

You're probably correct - bold day thieves.

I had a beach buggy that i spent over 12K on parked it in ASDA car park Wall Mart for you guys and came out to find some guy with his four kids sat in it i was so shocked did not know what to say LOL.

Some people have no idea and i am sure if you sat on there bike or go in there car they would be gob smacked

My money is they were going to steel it

Glad you went out in time bud

A good ol' fashion CCW would have taken care of that...

I just started locking my forks and ignition again the other day. Not sure why. Just had a hunch that I should probably start putting that into practice. This story reassures me of that.
