Took my 7 " ebay light with Hella 100 w bulb off the FXDC and reinstalled the stocker with the new HD LED. Great practical mod, this light is 2 - 3 toimes brighter than the 7 " with the hella 100 w bulb.

I am having an issue with the left blinker now though it keeps flashing. Wonder if this is a reaction of the tts and the led light?

 

I have the black HD LED on mine and I have no issues. Awesome headlight!

 

Does the led headlight mount the same way as the stock one? Just curious if it takes the ring to hold it into place like the stock one. There was another member looking at swapping over to the led but he has the hd bullet style 5 3/4 and he was wondering if it will fit inside the bullet bucket. Looking at it I wouldn't think so.

 

I would think if it fits the stock bulb it should fit the LED, but understand the hesitancy due the bullet style bucket The LED wasn't supposed to fit my stock bucket (08 SB) but it fits fine.

 

Yeah. It mounts exactly the same as the stock headlight.

 

It does and you do need the ring.

Is HD the only option on the market if I want a 5.75" LED headlight?

 

Yeah, the only good option. It's worth it, trust me. Especially if you ride at night.
