Hey guys, I just purchased a set of 16inch chubby apes for my 2005 super glide from another forum member. Im thinking of trying to install them myself. Any suggestions on what cable and wiring harness I will need or where to get them? Hope they arent too tall for me, im only 5'10". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all

 

i ordered all i needed from J&P cycles.

 

This may be a stupid question but what all did you have to order?

 

if you're internally wiring them (chubby bars should be drilled, right?) get some Techflex to push the wires through before you feed them through the bars (it's like mesh version of heat shrink)... if you make sure the techflex is a foot or two longer than you need it'll make getting the wires through a piece of cake.

 

install them before measuring for cable. swap your bushings out for solid mounts. 16 inch should be good for you

edit: be prepare for lots of wind lol
