Default Intermittent electrical problem

This morning I rode my 06 Wide Glide to work without issue, but I was the first one in and had to stop to open the gate. Embarrassingly, I stalled it before I shut it off, and when I got back on to ride to my parking spot the bike wouldn't start. At first, it just cranked, but then I lost all electrical. The dash lights, headlights, and everything went dark. Of course it wouldn't crank at this point. I pushed it into the parking lot, and when I got it in my spot the electrical was back on line. I hit the starter and it fired right up. About fifteen minutes later I tried it again and it started right up again.

I am thinking I must have a losse battery connection or a bad ground, but I am new to Harleys, so I thought I'd see what you all think. I have manual, but it is at home. Anything I can check before I leave this evening? (I have some tools here). Thanks.

Every time my bike acts funny like that it has something to do with a the neg. battery cable. Try removing the neg. cable from the battery and reinstalling, a little blue loctite won't hurt.

Same with me, tightened cable post with socket instead of screwdriver. No problems since.

Thanks guys. This is exactly what it was. Tightened it up, and rode home with no problems.

Yep, been there, done that. Glad it was an easy one for you.
