Default screamin' eagle tires w/slotted six spoke wheels?

planning to swap out the stock laced wheels with the textured black/slotted six spoke. was also planning to get new tires, since the wheels will be off anyway.

i currently run a screamin' eagle GT502F 100/90-19 front and GT502 180 60B/17 on the rear.

in a pre-order email to zanotti (regarding shipping and such), i was told they wouldn't recommend that 180 rear tire with the slotted six spoke wheel (p/n 43942-07).

would like other opinions from you guyz, if i may...

THANKS!

Did they say why?
Personally I would go with Metzeler ME880's, but I am curious why they would not recommend that combination.

I can't answer for the GT 502 180, but I'm runnin' Pirelli ND tires with a 180 on the back and it fits and rides just fine...

i mentioned to the guy that the subject tire is the same one as in the HD Wide Tire Kit and was told it is not an 'HD supported swap'. i'll check with my local stealer (the one i can trust) this weekend.

EDIT: haven't been able to find a confirmed fit, 180 metz for it.

I don't remember the part numbers, but I purchased them online from the Motorcycle Superstore more than a year ago...at that time, they had the best pricing I could find and free shipping as well.

looks like they are sized identical to the dunlop SE:

100/90-19 and 180/60B-17

i'll check moto superstore as well.

thanks for the recommendation...

Just a heads up...the 180 ND tire isn't as wide as the GT 502 180 tire. It isn't an issue for me and I'll most likely order the ND tires again, BUT if you're lookin' for a wide tire to fill the rear fender, you might not like the ND 180 tire.

What is the width of your rear wheel? I know when I went to a 160 on my 16" wheel the width was on the edge for a 160 and the dealer advised me to be careful at first, just to make sure I would not have any issues of the tire rolling over on the rim in a corner.
I think your 17 is wider than the 16's though, but not sure.

I would verify and take a look here to see if maybe the wheel is not wide enough for the safety experts.
