Default Best gloves for riding?

I ride in some cold temps and can't find any gloves that can keep my hands warm enough. Anybody find any that they would brag about?

Check out companies that makes gloves for snowmobilers. Warm, windproof, and waterproof. Expect to pay big bux. Fit should be somewhat loose.

Motorcycle Consumer News (and others) often do tests on winter gloves. In the non-electric catagory, the H-D leather gauntlets often come out on the top. That's what I use. Kept my hands warm on Sunday down to mid thirties.

Oddly enough, pay carefull attention to your chest and abdomen. Keeping your core temp up will keep your hand warm.

have the HD thinsulate gauntlets. Used them when I rode in Minnsnowta. Kept me warm then and doing a great job in the 40-50 degrees in Texas at night.

I gotta go with the H-D leather gauntlets. They work pretty nice, and I'm always cold. If needs be I have a thinsulate liner for them to add one more layer.

They sell some awesome stuff....but WOW.....$250.00 for a pair of self powered gloves? Prolly worth the money, if you go on winter tours....but I can't justify that sort of money for 30 miles or so of commuting miles each day.

Gah Puddles I rode home from work last night Ft.Worth - Keller at 1am ( it was only 48 ) and I froze my Fingers off! I had a pair of regular no insulation gloves from work on and my fingers felt like icecicles. I ordered some gauntlets off ebay today as Im not gonna freeze the fingers anymore. I know Im gonna hear some **** from some of you Northern guys about how you ride gloveless in 48 degree temps .....

My wife gets Herriet Carter and Dr. Leonard catalogs and they both have glove liners and socks that are made of metal(Aluminum fibers). These were designed for the space program and they work well when used inside good leather gauntlet gloves. These are about 4.00 a pair.

Regards,

Bill

Honestly, I'd say that I'd sooner have cold hands than ride with gloves. I hate the feeling of having something between my hands and the bike. I must be a control freak. So, IMO, there aren't any good gloves. None that I've found.
