Smile Help with Motor I.D.

Need some help from all you identifying my new to me 1995 's FXDWG motor. I got the bike from an older guy who never rode it much and really did not know too much about the motor. From what I can tell it has a S&S bottom and a H-D top end. It has "413 97 in a star the H-D" on the top and then obvious S&S on the lower case. Is this a 97 CI? Has the 5 speed dyna trans.

or is it all S&S?

Pull the spark plugs. Remove the inspection plug on the cases b/w the cylinders on the left side. Turn the motor over slowly and read the flywheels markings. Might give you the motor's stroke.

Did you get the original cases with the bike? May have had the inner cam bearings fail and they went S&S instead of HD when they repaired it. If it were mine I would be crossing my fingers hoping it was BIG inches but they would have used aftermarket jugs if that were the case.

Ok so the 97 in the star does not mean 97 ci oh bummer! So it is a hd top and ss bottom? Is this common to do? They did keep the 80 ci stock Dyna air cleaner on it so who knows lol! All the grandpa said when I bought it was it was a ss bottom hmm. Eitherway it's quick and runs great. But now how do I know what chrome oil filter from hd do I buy?

Maybe it is a 88 ci? It does have a V2 labeled derby cover. Would a full shot of the motor help id it better? Thanks all for the help!
