Bigger used bags would be awesome, but I don't see any for sale.

Hey, Tinker how did you mount your rear turn signals, I'm looking at trying to move mine as well.

Bad, bad bad idea. I see beer foam all over the place. Better idea: Bourbon (allows for fewer panic pee-stops) You can trust me, I've been doing this for awhile.

Cool bags

Think you may find slanted bags work or look better. See Lo-rider's pic. My sadddle bags fill up quickly. Fore more stuff, I have HD's universal bag that lays on my luggage rack. Also have cheap soft coolers that work surprising well, at least for cans.

Then you may find you need bag bars. PO gave me his home made set and before I could get them on, the right bag was scuffed from rubbing the rotor probably. I'll have to get a pic of my bike up here.

I have been researching the same thing for my 2005 Dyna. With a 52* slant front (bag) you can put a 25" long bag & 14"~15" high will work well with lid racks. With this length # you must relocate your turn signals. You can put little lid bags on top for your passengers to use while on the road. Good quality Hard Bags could be waterproof to keep your cloths dry which is good. I am thinking of mounting behind the shock. You can go to Odd Lots and purchase a soft cooler that fits inside of a Shovel Head bag.

I am sure I will go with some sort of removable hard bag but that is my choice. I use this FXR below for trips currently but I have a friend stopping by and we are going to the races in Daytona {Championship Cup Series/American Sportbike Racing Association and American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA)} October 13 - 16, 2011.

You have a fxdwg. No need to relocate the rear turn signals as any rigid bag will mount using the two bolts that you are utilizing for the side brackets for your backrest.

If I remember the space between the turn signal and the top shock is ~18". I'd give yourself 1/2" (1/4" on each side) for play. So, find some bags that are ~17.5" long.
