Default Street Bob 07 - Longer rear shocks?

I have an 07 FXDB with 11.5 " shocks. Can I put on 12" or 12.5" to raise it a little? Could it cause any problems?

Shouldn't be a problem at all, other dynas came stock with longer shocks

Ohh and make sure you measure from eye to eye and that the new shocks are measured the same way, it would suck to actually have 12 inchers and buy 12s to replace them with

The stock FXDB shocks are 12" (all years). So going from your current 11.5" back to stock won't cause any problems. I suspect 12.5" will also work as they were standard on current generation Dynas (06+) with similar rear fenders (FXD35, FXD, etc).

I have the rear shocks off a fxdx, raises the back about an inch and a half and they are adjustable. Gives me a good amount of extra ground clearance for the twisties.

I have been testing a few brand new model shocks as well as my previous work. Of course the shocks you are looking at has no rebound sag so that must be considered in your buying selection.

I have a new model 12" shock and have found the length too low to have enough ground clearance, the frame hit while pushing it on and off of the Handy lift much less when turning at speed.

The new 12 7/8" shock was better IMO as it has more ground clearance and a better lean angle. All testing was done on a stock height 2005 Dyna Lowrider.

I agree. The same conversion on my 07 Bob made a great improvement in handling, ground clearance, comfort as the replacements were of a much better quality ( not difficult lol ). Also by lifting the rear end a little the steering quickens up, which for me at least is a bonus.
