Street Bob 07 - Longer rear shocks?

I have been testing a few brand new model shocks as well as my previous work. Of course the shocks you are looking at has no rebound sag so that must be considered in your buying selection.
I have a new model 12" shock and have found the length too low to have enough ground clearance, the frame hit while pushing it on and off of the Handy lift much less when turning at speed.
The new 12 7/8" shock was better IMO as it has more ground clearance and a better lean angle. All testing was done on a stock height 2005 Dyna Lowrider.
