Default Clear shrink wrap?

I have a set of Magnum cables and I was told there was supposed to be a piece of clear heat shrink that was to be placed around areas that rub against the bike. Needless to say the clutch cable got pinched a bit and there is now a small hole in the clear plastic. Does anyone know where I can find a piece of heat shrink wrap that would cover this so it doesn't cause a problem later. I was told that I could have rust issues if water leaks into the cable, didn't know that these expensive cables were so fragile.

Any help would be wonderful!

Just a couple of questions - Is the hole just in the shrink wrap, or in the cable housing itself? Moisture won't be a problem until you breach the actual housing.
And, is this pinching a one-time deal, or will this be a continual problem, even after the replacement of the wrap?

I think if it is pinching, that is something to solve before replacing the wrap. Once you do - McMaster-Carr is the place for hardware. IMO

Are you saying your Magnum clutch cable didn't come with the shrink wrap? Should have. Did you install them, or have someone else do it?

Mine had a piece of clear shrink wrap on the section above the adjuster... That I heated up to protect where it touched the bars...

I have, on other projects, just slit a piece of clear tygon tube to fit over these sorts of areas.

That is exactly what I was looking for thanks! The tear is in the clear plastic, and the cause behind the pinching should be fixed, I rerouted the cable. It was magnum shielding's customer service girl that told me that moisture would be a problem if the plastic around the cable was breached. I have seen several other brand cables without the clear plastic coating on other bikes, that didn't have rust issues.
